Epoxy resin insulation material offers different characteristics compared to porcelain. It is lighter, more durable, and more flexible. Epoxy resin bushings are cast as one piece and do not require assembly. We offer a wide range of non-condenser epoxy resin bushings for low voltage and medium voltage applications.
Low voltage epoxy resin bushings are designed comply with ABB's specification, for the use on distribution transformers with ANSI standards.
The bushings consist of a epoxy insulating body, conductor stud, internal connection spade and external connection spade, and a piece of clamp. On customer's request, we can also supply 1 piece of seal gasket.
Solutions in epoxy resin range from post insulators to bespoke termination plates all supplied and tested to the relevant specifications.
Low voltage bushings passed strictly tested which are listed below:
1. Insulting dielectric tests:
Impulse voltage: for 1.2kV class the impulse voltage is 30kV, and for 2.5kV class, the impulse voltage is 45kV High voltage 50Hz & 60Hz withstand test: for 1.2kV class, test voltage is 10kV/1min., for 2.5kV class, the test voltage is 20 kV/ 1min.
2. Mechanical Strengthen Tests
Leakage test
Stud push‐out test
Stud torque strength test
Cantilevel test
Flange torque test
3. The environmental test
It includes thermal cycle test. The tested temperature range is ‐40~140ºC, withstand 20 cycles. We have the copies of test report for reference on customer's request.

One-Piece Epoxy Design with Integrated Components
This bushing is molded in one solid unit using epoxy resin as the primary insulating material. Unlike porcelain bushings, the epoxy version features a lighter, more durable structure without separate assembly. The bushing includes an internal conductor stud, internal and external connection spades, and a clamp for mechanical fastening. An optional seal gasket can be provided based on order requirements. This structure supports direct installation and eliminates multi-part assembly. The robust epoxy resin body serves as both insulator and housing, reducing overall component count. These qualities reflect the practical application of modern materials by experienced epoxy resin bushing designers and ensure suitability for compact, modern equipment produced by established transformer bushing manufacturers.
Electrical Testing and Mechanical Validation Standards
Each unit is produced under strict quality controls and tested for both insulation performance and structural strength. For the 1.2 kV class, the impulse withstand voltage reaches 30 kV, while the 2.5 kV class supports 45 kV. Corresponding high-frequency withstand tests are 10 kV and 20 kV at 50/60 Hz for one minute. Mechanical tests include stud push-out, torque resistance, flange loading, and cantilever validation. Environmental testing includes thermal cycling between -40 °C and 140 °C for 20 repetitions. Test records are available upon request. This multi-point testing ensures alignment with industry practices expected from certified porcelain bushing suppliers and advanced high voltage bushing manufacturers.
Voltage Range and Application Compatibility
This epoxy resin bushing supports nominal voltages from 1 kV up to 42 kV and currents from 250 A to 8000 A. It is compatible with dry-type transformers and oil-gas-insulated equipment, including installations in rail systems and traction networks. Low voltage bushings meet IEC requirements and follow ABB specifications, particularly for distribution transformer integration. The product’s shape, sealing, and interface support both new build and retrofit scenarios. For clients sourcing from a trusted porcelain insulator supplier or exploring updated formats from wholesale porcelain bushing providers, this product offers a simplified dry-material alternative.
Product Advantages
Lightweight Structure with No Assembly Required
As a cast solid component, the epoxy resin bushing requires no on-site assembly, reducing installation time and potential connection errors. The reduced weight compared to porcelain enables easier handling and transport, especially in high-volume deployments. The unified form also enhances mechanical integrity, eliminating joint failure points. These features offer a material advantage to teams sourcing from certified wholesale porcelain insulator manufacturers seeking more installation-friendly options with simplified mechanical interfaces and robust insulation properties for enclosed transformer bays.
Verified Electrical Insulation and Load Reliability
All bushings undergo high voltage testing for both impulse and alternating current withstand levels. Electrical stress testing confirms consistent insulation under varying frequency and load duration. Additionally, the mechanical system is certified through tests like torque endurance and cantilever resistance, demonstrating robustness under mounted operational conditions. This integrated approach supports reliability over multiple temperature cycles and environmental shifts, making it suitable for organizations working with reliable high voltage insulators manufacturers and demanding long-duration performance guarantees.
Multi-Standard Compliance and Broad Application Use
Designed to comply with both IEC and ABB reference specifications, these bushings serve diverse system architectures. Their adaptability to dry and oil-insulated transformers, including railway and industrial traction systems, allows consistent integration across project types. Combined with the offered voltage and current range, this versatility ensures that the product fits projects previously sourcing from both porcelain insulator manufacturers and glass insulator manufacturers. NJREC’s capacity to produce bushings meeting various technical guidelines also reinforces its position among comprehensive wholesale porcelain bushing suppliers.
