Transformer Insulation Components
Compare NJREC’s porcelain and epoxy transformer bushing series for new projects and replacements. The range includes high-voltage porcelain, DIN/EN, ANSI, ANSI spade-terminal and epoxy options. Explore the products below to narrow your choice by electrical ratings, applicable standards and connection design.
For a new project, send us your transformer specifications and required bushing ratings. For a replacement, include the existing bushing model and installation drawing so we can check the terminal and mounting dimensions. NJREC can review your requirements and help you identify a suitable product before preparing a quotation.
Explore five porcelain and epoxy transformer bushing series. Start with the standard and connection required by your transformer, then check the electrical ratings and mounting dimensions on each product page.
Wide Electrical Range
Porcelain bushings for power and distribution transformers, with creepage distance and terminal configurations selected according to the project requirements.

European Standard
DIN/EN porcelain bushings for transformer designs using European dimensions, with threaded-stem or flag-terminal options depending on the model.

North American Standard
Porcelain bushings for ANSI transformer applications. Check the required voltage class, current rating, BIL and terminal arrangement against the product data.

Multi-Hole Terminal
ANSI porcelain bushings with multi-hole spade terminals for bolted busbar or cable-lug connections. Confirm the hole pattern and terminal dimensions with your drawing.

Compare the intended application, insulation material and connection style first. Electrical ratings and installation dimensions must then be checked for the selected model.
| Product series | Typical application | Material and design | Published electrical data | Standard and BIL | Terminal | Drawing details to confirm |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HV Porcelain Bushings | New or replacement bushings for oil-immersed power and distribution transformers. | Porcelain insulation; creepage options for the specified service conditions. | 1/3 kV: 250–6,300 A; 12/24/36 kV: 250/630 A or 1,250–4,500 A by configuration; 52 kV: 250–4,500 A. | IEC 60137 for outdoor bushings; applicable DIN or EN design. Confirm BIL by model. | Threaded conductor stem or flag terminal; oil-end connection to be confirmed. | Flange, mounting holes, air-end and oil-end lengths, terminal and creepage distance. |
| DIN/EN Porcelain Bushings | New transformers or replacements requiring an existing DIN/EN dimensional interface. | Porcelain insulation; threaded or flag-terminal designs. | 1/3 kV: 250–6,300 A; 12/24/36 kV: 250/630 A or 1,250–4,500 A by configuration; 52 kV: 250–4,500 A. | DIN or applicable EN 50386/50180 design; IEC 60137 for outdoor bushings. Confirm BIL by model. | Threaded stem or flag terminal; confirm the oil-end interface. | Applicable DIN/EN dimensions, flange, stem thread or flag-hole pattern and installation drawing. |
| ANSI Porcelain Bushings | Transformers requiring an ANSI connection or a matching ANSI replacement. | Light-gray wet-process porcelain; several body and connector profiles are listed. | Voltage and current vary by configuration; confirm the selected model's data. | ANSI in the product overview; confirm BIL for the exact electrical-data entry. | Eyebolt, spade or another specified connector, depending on configuration. | Connector size, flange, bolt-hole pattern and air-end/oil-end dimensions. |
| ANSI Spade Bushings | Transformer connections needing a bolted spade terminal, including replacement projects. | Light-gray wet-process porcelain with a specified terminal arrangement. | Voltage and current vary by configuration; confirm the spade-terminal model's data. | ANSI in the product overview; BIL must match the selected configuration. | Spade terminal; specify hole count, spacing and thickness. | Spade drawing, flange, mounting holes, terminal position and installation dimensions. |
| Epoxy Transformer Bushings | Suitable dry-type or oil-filled transformer applications; confirm the installation for the model. | One-piece cast, non-condenser epoxy construction in the described range. | Published overview: 1–42 kV and 250–8,000 A; confirm the voltage/current pairing by model. | IEC compatibility is stated; an ANSI-related low-voltage design is also described. Confirm the required specification and impulse rating. | Conductor stud, internal/external spades and clamp in the described design. | Stud and spade dimensions, clamp, mounting opening, sealing surface and optional gasket. |
For an 11 kV, 15 kV or 33 kV project, provide the required equipment voltage class, current, BIL, applicable ANSI or EN/DIN standard, terminal details and installation drawing. The ratings above belong to different configurations and cannot be freely combined. ANSI product-page overviews and detailed data include different entries; request the exact model data. Final specifications are subject to the selected model's technical data and confirmed drawing.
Send us the equipment type, voltage and current ratings, standard, and terminal requirements. We can help you select a suitable bushing series.
Send us the existing model or drawing. We will check the flange, mounting holes, terminals, air-end and oil-end dimensions before recommending an option.
A transformer bushing provides an insulated connection through the grounded transformer tank. To narrow down the series, tell us the equipment type, voltage and current ratings, required BIL, and whether the connection must follow DIN/EN or ANSI dimensions. We will then check the porcelain or epoxy option against the selected model's drawing.
Yes. Send us the old model number, a nameplate photo and any available drawing. We will compare the electrical ratings, flange and mounting holes, terminals, air-end and oil-end dimensions, and installation orientation before suggesting an option.
Please provide the required ratings, standard, terminal and mounting drawing, quantity, and service conditions. If you need a test report, quality certificate or installation instructions, mention this in your inquiry so we can confirm the documents available for the selected model.
